An ecosystem for Uniswap’s web surfaces and an evolution of their existing brand language
Brief
Uniswap came to us to sharpen their brand language across multiple web surfaces, and bring the family of sites closer together in both visual identity and user experience.
Solution
We worked closely with the internal brand team to clarify and expand the brand’s design system on the web, and apply it to their blog, support, and documentation sites. We also saw potential in Uniswap to draw inspiration from the weird world of its mythological mascot, so we developed the brand's icon palette into a flexible visual motif rooted in medieval mille-fleur tapestries and illuminated manuscripts. This worked their way into image asset art direction, a suite of embroidery-inspired drop caps, alongside a broader update to their web component and type scale systems.
